Yolk Recruitment Ltd

Production Scheduler

Yolk Recruitment are supporting a growing South Wales manufacturer with the recruitment of a Production Scheduler to join their expanding operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that is investing heavily in its future, expanding its manufacturing capabilities, and forecasting significant growth over the next few years. Following substantial investment in new machinery and with further expansion plans already underway, the company is looking for a Production Scheduler who can help bring greater visibility, structure and control to a varied manufacturing environment.

Unlike traditional high-volume production environments, this role offers genuine variety. You'll be coordinating the manufacture of multiple bespoke and batch-built products, balancing changing priorities, managing production capacity and ensuring materials and resources are aligned to customer demand. If you enjoy problem-solving, working closely with production teams and making a real impact on operational performance, this could be the perfect next move.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed production schedules to maximise factory efficiency and on-time delivery performance.
  • Planning production capacity across multiple work centres and manufacturing processes.
  • Using ERP and MRP systems to manage work orders, production priorities and scheduling activities.
  • Monitoring production progress and adjusting schedules in response to changing customer requirements.
  • Liaising with Purchasing to ensure materials are available when required.
  • Working closely with Production, Operations and Senior Management to identify bottlenecks and improve workflow.
  • Analysing production data and reporting on performance, capacity utilisation and schedule adherence.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across planning and manufacturing processes.
  • Helping to drive greater structure, visibility and control throughout the production operation.

This is what you'll need:

  • Previous experience as a Production Scheduler, Production Planner, Manufacturing Planner, Production Controller or Production Coordinator.
  • Strong experience working with ERP or MRP systems
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
