Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for experienced Production Team Leaders to join a successful manufacturing business based in Dunkeswell, near Honiton, Devon.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Team Leader looking to develop a long-term career within a well-established manufacturing business. You'll play a key role in leading a production team, driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring production targets are achieved in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Please note: Own transport is essential due to the location.
Key Duties
- Lead, motivate and support a team of Production Operatives to achieve daily production targets.
- Organise workloads and ensure production plans are delivered efficiently.
- Monitor production processes to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, quality standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Complete production records, paperwork and computer-based systems accurately.
- Promote a strong Health & Safety culture across the production and manufacturing environment.
- Support the training, development and performance of team members.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Act as a positive role model, encouraging teamwork and high performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Production Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Team Leader, Shift Leader, Senior Operator, Senior Production Operative or similar leadership role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, production, FMCG or food production environment is preferred.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to make confident decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, quality standards and production processes.
- Own transport is essential due to the location.
What We Offer
- £15.68 per hour.
- £23.52 per hour overtime after 38 hours worked.
- Monday to Friday, 6am – 4pm.
- One fixed weekday off every week on a rotating schedule.
