Programme Manager – IT Supplier Transition
Contract | North East – 4 days per week onsite | Outside IR35
We're supporting a key North East client who are looking to engage an experienced IT Service Transition Manager to lead a complex, multi-supplier contract transition programme.
This is a critical role, focused on orchestrating the end-to-end transition of multiple IT service contracts across a number of suppliers. You'll operate at a programme level, taking ownership of delivery rather than supporting or facilitating.
The Role
- Lead and deliver a multi-supplier IT Service Contract Transition programme (10 workstreams/projects)
- Act as the central orchestrator across multiple suppliers, each with their own transition teams
- Oversee transitions across infrastructure, applications, EUC and other associated services
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle: plan, mobilise, execute, and service acceptance
- Ensure controlled, low-risk transition with minimal disruption to live services
- Drive quality gates, governance, RAID and sign-off before go-live
- Manage knowledge transfer between incumbent and new suppliers
- Hold suppliers accountable and bring structure to delivery
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading (not supporting) large-scale, multi-supplier transition programmes
- Delivered complex transitions across multiple disciplines (infrastructure, apps, service desk, etc.)
- Strong orchestration capability with the able to align, challenge and direct multiple suppliers
- Experience working in SIAM or multi-vendor environments
- Deep understanding of transition lifecycle, governance, risk and quality gates
- Hands-on, self-sufficient and comfortable stepping in and taking ownership quickly
- Recent experience delivering similar programmes end-to-end
