PROJECT CONTROLLER, STEVANGE

This is a developing to mid-level role, suited to someone with hands-on planning, scheduling, PMO, project controls, project finance or project reporting experience who wants to grow in a structured environment.
The essentials
- British citizenship is required due to the nature of work at the client’s site
- Experience in project planning, project controls, scheduling, PMO analysis, project finance, cost control or project reporting
- Evidence of working with project data in a project, programme or structured delivery environment
- Ability to communicate clearly with project managers, engineering, finance, commercial or delivery teams
- Willingness to work on a hybrid basis from the Bristol area
Salary and rewards
Salary is expected to be around £40-50K depending on experience, with hybrid working and strong long-term development prospects.

Your role
You will support the successful delivery of complex engineering projects by helping to control schedule, cost, risk, resource and performance information.
Typical work may include:
- Supporting planning, scheduling and project control activity across live projects
- Producing, checking or analysing project performance data
- Working with schedules, milestones, baseline information, costs, forecasts or risks
- Helping project teams understand movement in plans, costs or delivery performance
- Supporting reporting packs, project metrics, KPIs and data quality
- Working with project managers and wider delivery teams to identify issues and corrective action
Your experience
You do not need to have worked in defence before. The client is open on industry background if you have credible project controls type experience and the right behaviours.
This will suit someone progressing through the earlier or middle stages of a project controls career, rather than someone looking for a senior lead or management-level post.
Relevant experience could include:
- Planning, scheduling, project controls, PMO analysis, resource planning or project finance
- Schedule maintenance, milestone tracking, critical path, float, baseline or change control
- Cost control, budget tracking, forecasting, EAC, variance analysis or project financial reporting
- Project performance reporting, KPI tracking, data analysis or reporting pack ownership
- Tools such as P6, Primavera, SAP, ARM, Oracle Unifier, MS Project, Excel, Power BI or similar
- Experience from engineering, defence, aerospace, nuclear, oil and gas, infrastructure, manufacturing or another structured project environment

Where you will be based
This role is based in the Bristol area with hybrid working. Site attendance is normally required each week, depending on project and team needs.
