We're recruiting for a Property Inspector to join a highly respected and successful estate agency in Upminster. You'll play a key role in ensuring rental properties are maintained to a high standard, carrying out inspections, liaising with landlords and tenants, and supporting the wider Property Management team.
The Role
As a Property Inspector, you will:
- Carry out mid-term, check-in, and check-out property inspections
- Produce detailed written and photographic reports using bespoke software on an iPad
- Update landlords on property condition and inspection findings
- Identify maintenance issues and liaise with Property Managers to ensure repairs are completed
- Support tenants with property-related queries and provide professional advice where required
- Assist with deposit negotiations between landlords and tenants
- Prepare documentation for deposit disputes and adjudication when necessary
- Maintain accurate property records and ensure reports are completed within agreed timescales
- Support the wider Property Management team with day-to-day operations
Property Inspector Requirements
- Previous experience within residential lettings or property management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proactive with the ability to manage a busy schedule independently
- Confident dealing with landlords and tenants face-to-face
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, tablets, and CRM systems
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
