Associate – Property Litigation

Join our client as an Associate within their dynamic Property Litigation team. This role offers the chance to handle a variety of complex property litigation matters and provides a steady stream of high-quality cases.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Handle a range of property litigation cases including property damage, trespass, and nuisance issues.
  • Resolve disputes commercially through courts or alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques.
  • Meet annual team billing targets while ensuring risk management and high levels of client service excellence.
  • Supervise and manage at least one junior solicitor or paralegal, ensuring they manage risks appropriately.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Full and detailed understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules with experience from case inception to trial.
  • Experience in resolving cases via mediation and other forms of ADR.
  • Strong legal technical ability, preferably within the property litigation area.
  • Good understanding and experience with procedural matters in litigation, including all aspects of protocols and civil procedure.
  • High levels of client care with the ability to advise on technically complex matters in a clear and understandable format.
  • Practical legal experience including county court litigation, injunctive relief, mediation, and all aspects of ADR.
  • Ability to interact well with colleagues at all levels and supervise more junior team members, taking accountability for their performance and development.
