Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk (Temporary – 6 Months)
South Norwich (Hybrid Working – only 1-2 days a week required in the office)

£14–£15 per hour (depending on experience)
Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional looking for your next contract opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy and fast-paced finance team on a 6-month temporary basis.
The Role
This is a hands-on position supporting a high-volume finance function, where accuracy, organisation, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are essential. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices with accuracy and efficiency
- Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
- Managing payment runs and ensuring timely processing
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Supporting month-end duties and reporting as required
- Identifying process improvements within the ledger function
What We’re Looking For
- Proven purchase ledger experience within a high-volume environment (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
- Intermediate Excel skills are desirable
Working Pattern & Benefits
- 37.5 hours per week (full-time)
- Enhanced hybrid working: only 1–2 days per week in the South Norwich office, with the rest working from home
