Joining a small Procurement team in a Global Pharmaceutical Company. Role focus is to help ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of medicinal products and source packaging materials to support the shipments.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with suppliers and carriers to arrange cost effective and time efficient collections, providing documentation to ensure a smooth transit when goods are ready for collection.
- Ensuring that data required is kept up to date for decision making and reporting purposes.
- Working with the team to ensure efficient, effective and accurate purchase order placement of pharmaceutical orders and packaging material orders, to ensure on time delivery and minimising discrepancies through effective supplier management.
- Source packaging materials from approved suppliers, making commercially sound purchasing decisions while considering associated transport, storage and other supply chain costs.
- Ensure Customer Service and Sales Teams are kept up to date with the status of orders through regular communication and timely updates of purchasing remarks on SAP sales orders.
Experience in Purchasing / Procurement / Buying within a Pharmaceutical environment is desired though not essential. Though the successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, an eye for detail, strong system ability and ability to undertake a varied workload with often changing priorities.
