Working as part of the senior management team, you'll lead a small, highly motivated team while taking ownership of purchasing strategy, supplier relationships, inventory management and operational efficiency. You'll have the autonomy to influence change, implement best practice, and make a visible difference from day one.
The opportunity:
As Purchasing Manager, you will review and enhance existing systems, processes, and procedures, creating a robust, efficient, and customer-focused purchasing operation that sits at the heart of the business.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Lead and develop the purchasing function to support business growth
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency and profitability
- Work closely with senior leadership to support strategic objectives
- Build and strengthen relationships with key suppliers
- Negotiate commercial agreements and maximise value
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure service excellence
The company:
Our client is a privately owned, rapidly expanding independent electrical wholesaler with an outstanding reputation for service.
Their success is built on a simple philosophy: providing customers with the right products, at the right price, at the right time. As they continue to grow, they are investing in the people, processes and systems that will help them remain a market leader.
About you:
You are an experienced purchasing professional who combines commercial awareness with a practical, hands-on approach.
You will likely have:
- Strong purchasing and procurement experience
- Experience leading and developing teams
- A track record of improving systems, processes and operational performance
- Excellent supplier management and negotiation skills
Most importantly, you are someone who:
- Knows what great looks like and has the drive to achieve it
- Wants to be part of a forward-thinking leadership team
- Thrives in an environment where your contribution genuinely matters
- Takes pride in delivering outstanding results
