McGregor Boyall have a greenfield development opportunity with a leading quant investment manager.
The team is currently building a new, bespoke application for the Operations function of the fund. You'd be developing automation systems for trade processing workflows, creating custom data visualization tools, and architecting web applications using Flask/Django/FastAPI stacks.
You'll have autonomy to drive technical decisions while collaborating with C-suite stakeholders to solve complex financial data challenges. We need someone who understands how a financial organization works and is comfortable being a central point of contact for multiple stakeholders in various teams.
Role requires 5 days per week onsite in London.
Required skills:
– 2-6 years of experience as a Python Developer. Ideally, you will be working for a leading investment bank but other financial background (particularly hedge funds) are also welcome
– Proven experience building bespoke dashboards for end users. Plotly or Dash highly desired
– Good commercial experience with data visualisation tools and techniques
– Solid working experience with Pandas or NumPy
– Excellent SQL abilities
Nice to have:
– Javascript/ web experience (React or Typescript)
– Flask
– Cloud computing experience (AWS preferred)
– Prior experience working in operations, middle or back office teams within finance
