QC Analyst – Analytical Near Preston | Permanent | Rotating Shifts (6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday) Competitive Salary plus Shift Allowance

We're recruiting for a QC Analyst – Analytical to join a leading UK manufacturing business near Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QC Analyst or Analytical Chemist with a background in a regulated laboratory environment to support the testing and release of bulk and finished products using a range of analytical techniques and instrumentation.

Working within the Quality team, you'll play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards through analytical testing, while maintaining compliance with GLP, GMP and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of bulk liquids and finished products in accordance with approved laboratory methods and specifications. • Interpret, review and accurately report analytical results. • Release bulk products for manufacture and filling following successful QC testing. • Investigate and communicate out-of-specification (OOS) results with Technical and Manufacturing teams. • Carry out routine calibration, maintenance and validation of laboratory equipment. • Prepare and standardise laboratory reagents in accordance with defined procedures and pharmacopoeial requirements. • Maintain laboratory standards, retained samples and documentation in line with GLP and GMP requirements. • Support the preparation and review of laboratory procedures and assist with the training of other analysts. • Ensure high standards of Health & Safety, Good Laboratory Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice are maintained at all times.

About You

• HNC in Chemistry with 2-3 years' industrial laboratory experience, or a Chemistry degree with at least 1-2 years' commercial laboratory experience. • Experience working within a QC or analytical laboratory. • Practical experience using analytical instrumentation such as Auto Titrators, Moisture Analysers, UV, IR Spectroscopy and Fluorimeters. • Working knowledge of GC and HPLC is essential. • Experience within a GLP and/or GMP regulated environment would be highly advantageous. • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. • Confident communicating with colleagues across Quality, Technical and Manufacturing teams.
