QC Laboratory Technician
Location: Bridgend (must live locally or have reliable transport)
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing
Rate: £16.76 per hour
Hours: 12-hour shifts (days & nights on a rotating pattern)
Position to start: End of June/ Beginning of July
Our client is recruiting a additional QC Laboratory Technician to join their team, a well-established manufacturing company in Bridgend. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop lab skills, gain technical experience, and progress in a quality-focused role. No previous laboratory experience is required – full, structured training is provided over the first 3 months.Key Responsibilities
As a QC Lab Technician, you will:
- Carry out quality testing throughout the production process to ensure products meet specifications
- Use pipettes and other laboratory equipment (full training provided)
- Record data accurately and follow strict quality procedures
- Identify and resolve basic quality issues such as out-of-spec results
- Work closely with production and engineering teams
- Support continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standard
You don't need to be an experienced lab technician – we welcome applicants from:
- Manufacturing or production backgrounds
- Science graduates (biology, chemistry, food science)
- College leavers with science modules
- Candidates looking to build a technical or quality-based career
- Anyone wanting long-term stability and training in a specialised field

Shift Pattern
You'll begin with 4 weeks of day shifts:
Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 3.30pm
Then move onto a 4-week rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: Wed-Fri, 6pm-6.15am
- Week 2: Wed-Fri, 6am-6.15pm
- Week 3: Sun-Tues, 6pm-6.15am
- Week 4: Sun-Tues, 6am-6.15pm
