QA Supervisor
- Location: South East London
- Job Type: Fixed Term – Mat Cover
- Hours: 4 on 4 off – 7am-7pm
- Reporting to: Factory Technical Manager
We are seeking a QA Supervisor to ensure high standards of product safety, legality, and quality within our factory. This role involves leading a team of QA technicians, liaising with stakeholders, and maintaining compliance with food safety and manufacturing regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in chilled manufacturing and possess strong leadership and organisational skills.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and manage a team of Quality Assurance Technicians, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and competent to perform their duties.
- Oversee technical systems such as GMP, non-conformances, and sample tracking, ensuring they are maintained and updated as required.
- Conduct and manage investigations related to raw materials, finished products, traceability, and customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
- Support customer and third-party audits, ensuring compliance with all legal and customer requirements.
- Facilitate and verify corrective and preventative actions to reduce factory-related issues.
- Participate in pre-production trials, new product introductions, and machinery trials to enhance food processing and production processes.
- Manage administrative duties and support the Technical Management team as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within Chilled Manufacturing (High Care and/or High Risk).
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and development.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with customers and suppliers.
- Proficient in IT with skills in data entry and report writing, including graphs and charts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
