We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a major distribution operation at an exciting stage of its development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, enjoys being close to the operation, and is passionate about driving quality standards through a practical, hands-on approach.
As Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the site's quality function, working closely with operational teams to maintain standards, investigate issues, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You'll spend significant time on the warehouse floor, analysing quality performance, conducting audits, and helping to resolve operational challenges.

Quality Engineer – Roles & Responsibilities – Distribution, Logistics, 3PL, Warehouse, ISO9001, QMS, WMS, Auditing, RCA, CAPA
• Support and promote quality standards across the distribution operation. • Spend time within the warehouse identifying trends, investigating issues, and supporting operational teams with quality-related matters. • Conduct root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA). • Maintain and support continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) processes. • Plan and carry out internal audits, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. • Support ISO9001 compliance activities and participate in internal and external audits. • Analyse quality data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. • Work closely with operational teams to improve process capability, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction. • Assist with customer quality issues, investigations, and corrective action activities where required. • Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the warehouse and distribution operation.

• Previous experience within a distribution, logistics, 3PL, manufacturing, or large-scale warehousing environment. • Strong understanding of quality systems, compliance requirements, and auditing processes. • Experience conducting internal audits and a good understanding of ISO9001. • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). • Proven experience investigating quality issues and driving corrective actions through structured problem-solving techniques. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities. • Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to spend time in operational areas. • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
