Salary: £28,337 – £39,068 (L6–L14) + Welcome Bonus up to £5,000
Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Advanced Technical Trainer in Rail Engineering.
You will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment to apprentices attending on block release, supporting them to develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the rail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver Rail Engineering apprenticeship training aligned to industry standards
- Facilitate engaging theory lessons, practical sessions, and assessments
- Carry out vocational assessments both on-site and in the workplace
- Support and mentor apprentices throughout their learning journey
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, safeguarding, and compliance
- Build positive relationships with employers and stakeholders
The Ideal Candidate:
- Industry experience within rail engineering, maintenance, or operations
- A Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- Strong teaching, training, or mentoring experience (qualification desirable, not essential)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of industry regulations and health & safety standards
- A genuine passion for supporting learners and developing future talent
