Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Blackpool who are seeking a dedicated and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our youngest learners at a crucial stage of their development.

About the Role

Working closely with the class teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning within a Reception classroom. You will help create a stimulating, safe, and engaging environment where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum within a Reception setting
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils
  • Help to monitor progress and contribute to observations and assessments
  • Promote positive behaviour and support children’s wellbeing
  • Contribute to maintaining an organised, purposeful learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working within a classroom environment (desirable)
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Be patient, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting young learners
  • Work effectively as part of a team and show initiative
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be passionate about making a positive difference in early education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
