Refuse Drive
We are recruiting reliable and safety focused Waste Collection Drivers to join a dedicated team providing waste and recycling services across the local borough.
You will work as part of a 2-3 person crew, operating a commercial collection vehicle and engaging professionally with customers on your route. Key Responsibilities
* Drive a waste collection vehicle safely and efficiently
* Collect various waste types from residential and commercial customers
* Work collaboratively with loaders and crew members
* Follow designated routes and daily schedules
* Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public Working Hours Candidates must be flexible to meet operational needs.
* Standard pattern: Mon-Fri, 40 hours, 1 hour unpaid break
* Valid UK driving licence
* CPC card, CPC hours (PDF), and Tachograph card
* Maximum 6 penalty points (must discuss reasons before submission)
* Ability to work early starts and long shifts * Strong teamwork and communication skills Documents Required on Induction Day
* Passport OR birth certificate + NI card / P45 / P60 * Driver's licence * CPC card * CPC hours (PDF) * Tachograph card
* Foreign nationals: Right to work share code
* PPE: Hi vis vest and safety boots Training * Pre induction driver assessment (PPE required)
* 2 day induction (classroom + practical)
* Followed by on the job training Drivers must attend an unpaid driver assessments
Be aware that this position is primarily a commercial collection position and they will be working Mon-Fri with occasional weekends.
