?Growing challenger bank are now in the position to hire an experienced Regulatory Reporting Accountant due to an internal promotion. Based in central London they encourage office time of 4-days per week. This role will suit either the equivalent of a senior AVP, or junior VP from a major bank who wants a role where they have full ownership of the process; or a 2IC in a smaller bank who wants to step up in responsibility. Experience in 'change the bank' is seen as valuable as 'run the bank'.
Responsibilities:
Leading a small team you will be tasked with the responsibility for the timely and accurate production of regulatory reports and data for submission to banking regulatory authorities to facilitate the monitoring of capital, liquidity and other financial risks facing the bank. Though this is a leadership role it is also requires the application of technical skills and the ability to identify change and follow through with implementation.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant
- Demonstrable experience in the production of regulatory returns including COREP and FINREP in accordance with extant legislation. COREP experience is essential, over and above Liquidity
- Offer experience regulatory reporting system change and have confidence to give an opinion of the pros and cons of various systems
- Experience in 'change the bank' is seen as valuable as 'run the bank'
- Be conversant with regulatory requirements and considerations in the development of new products, ensuring that data requirements are satisfied to support accurate and timely reporting
- Have a passion for developing a first-class control environment around the production of regulatory returns with clear documentation and governance processes around production and ensuring clear reconciliation of regulatory reports to core financial data
- The ability to model for the purpose of risk analytics for interest rate and capital risks
- Understanding how Regulatory reporting supports the development of ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP and Pillar III production
