Overview: Residential Childcare Assessor / Tutor
An opportunity to join an innovative and rapidly growing training provider, we are looking for an experienced Residential Childcare professional to join their successful team.
You will be delivering CYP Residential Childcare apprenticeships to learners, mainly working remotely from home.
The successful candidate will need to have at least 2 years' occupational experience in a Residential Childcare setting and a L3 or above Residential Childcare qualification. Ideally you will already hold an assessor award, teaching qualification and have previous experience delivering apprenticeships in CYP / Residential Childcare.
Duties: Residential Childcare Assessor / Tutor
- Train, assess, motivate and support Residential Childcare learners on programmes towards achieving CYP / Residential Childcare Apprenticeship qualifications
- Maximise the use of e-learning and using a variety of assessment methods to ensure learners have the chance to evidence their knowledge in a variety of ways.
- Support, develop, implement and evaluate approved Residential Childcare training materials, promoting standardisation, use approved training methods to develop the learner and utilise every opportunity to supporting them to achieving their qualification in a timely manner.
- Ensure the highest standards of learner completions are met and to monitor candidates progress, including carrying out regular progression reviews/additional support reviews.
Qualifications and Competencies: Residential Childcare Assessor / Tutor
- A minimum 2 years' occupational experience within a Residential Childcare setting
- A L3 or above qualification in Residential Childcare
- Experience delivering Residential Childcare apprenticeships
- Assessor Award – TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33
- Teaching qualification (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own diary
- Full UK Driving License

- Salary £28-32K depending on qualifications and experience
