Join a Growing Residential Property Team
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join a busy and well-established law firm based in Thurrock. This role is ideal for an experienced conveyancing support professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative property department.
You will work alongside experienced conveyancers and solicitors, assisting with a varied caseload of residential property transactions and helping to deliver a high standard of client service throughout the conveyancing process.
The Role
As a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal, you will provide support on a wide range of property matters from instruction through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting fee earners with residential sales, purchases, remortgages and transfer of equity matters.
- Opening new files and carrying out client onboarding procedures.
- Completing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and identity verification checks.
- Preparing contract packs and legal documentation.
- Ordering and reviewing property searches.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and third parties.
- Drafting correspondence and updating clients on transaction progress.
- Assisting with exchange and completion processes.
- Preparing SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
- Managing post-completion matters.
- Maintaining accurate records using the firm's case management system.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working within a Residential Conveyancing department.
- A good understanding of the residential property transaction process.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and client care abilities.
- The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence working with legal technology and case management systems.
- A proactive and positive approach to teamwork.
