Resource Manager
12 Month Contract
Up to £63 PH (umbrella)
Reading, Hybrid (2 days onsite)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Resource Manager to join a major government-related programme supporting a large-scale project and programme management function.
This role will focus on resource planning, capability development, workforce management, and supporting recruitment and resourcing activities across a complex project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day resource management activities across projects and programmes.
- Assess current and future resource requirements and support workforce planning initiatives.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify capability gaps and develop solutions.
- Support recruitment, resourcing, and talent development activities.
- Develop and maintain professional development frameworks, career pathways, and learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with industry partners and professional bodies to promote best practice.
- Maintain and update relevant SharePoint sites and management information.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the wider P3M function.
Essential Experience
- SC clearance is essential
- Previous experience in Resource Management and workforce planning.
- Strong understanding of recruitment, talent acquisition, or resource allocation processes.
- Experience working within project, programme, or portfolio management environments (P3M).
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Experience analysing resource requirements and supporting organisational change.
- Strong organisational, communication, and planning skills.
Package
- 12 month contract
- £63 per hour umbrella
- Reading, Berkshire
- Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office
