Reporting Analyst – Retail & Clothing
Location: Remote / London (occasional office attendance preferred)
Contract: Initial 3 Months
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Umbrella)
We are seeking an experienced Reporting Analyst to support a large retail organisation undergoing significant business expansion within its Clothing and General Merchandise operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex and sometimes unstructured data, uncovering trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and transforming data into actionable business insights. This is not a traditional BI Developer role; the focus is on analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement rather than dashboard development alone.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret data from multiple business sources.
- Produce KPI, management, and governance reporting.
- Deliver actionable insights to support business decision-making.
- Identify trends relating to product quality, customer complaints, returns, and supplier performance.
- Support reporting across sustainability, ethical sourcing, and supply chain performance metrics.
- Improve reporting processes through automation and simplification.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations to operational and senior stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, or MI Analyst.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong Power Query experience.
- Experience working with Power BI.
- Ability to analyse large and complex datasets.
- Experience extracting insight from multiple data sources.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience producing KPI and management reporting.
Desirable Experience
- Retail, FMCG, Consumer Goods, Supply Chain, Quality, or Compliance reporting experience.
- Exposure to sustainability, product quality, customer complaints, returns, or supplier performance reporting.
- Experience with reporting automation tools such as Power Automate.
