We are currently recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join a well- established manufacturing business in the North East. This is a key support role within the Sales function, acting as a vital link between customers, sales, production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth and efficient order processing and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently within ERP/MRP systems
- Create quotations, order acknowledgements, and customer correspondence
- Maintain accurate customer records, databases, and sales documentation
- Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, responding to queries on orders, pricing, delivery, and product information
- Monitor order progress from receipt through to delivery, providing updates and proactively managing delays
- Liaise with Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure timely fulfilment
- Support the Sales Team with reporting, KPI data, tenders, presentations, and contract administration
- Assist with pricing updates, product information management, and coordination of samples and marketing materials
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and data protection requirements
- Support internal and external audits as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in Sales Administration, Customer Service, or Commercial Support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP/CRM or order processing systems
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or production environments (Desirable)
Additional details:
- £28,000 salary
- Office-based role
- Company pension scheme
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays (Additional holiday entitlement increasing with service)
