Sales Executive – International Freight (Sea & Air)

We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Sales Executive to support business growth within our client's fast-paced freight forwarding environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sales, particularly within the international logistics sector, who is adept at identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting a comprehensive range of logistics services.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Actively generate new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Sell a range of services including sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, and warehousing.
- Prepare quotations and negotiate terms to secure profitable business.
- Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline activity and reporting.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure a smooth transition for new customers.
- Communicate effectively with clients, overseas agents, and internal teams.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and maximise customer retention.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in freight forwarding sales.
- Strong understanding of import/export processes across sea and air freight.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to generate new business and manage accounts.
- Target-driven with a strong commercial mindset.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and customs procedures is advantageous.
