London (hybrid – 3/2) · Investment Management
A leading global investment manager is hiring a Sales & Client Support Associate to join its client group. This is a role for someone who already has a foot in asset management and is ready to push into a front-line sales career — commercially minded, ambitious, and hungry to learn fund distribution from individuals who do it at the highest level.
You'll work hand in hand with the Sales Directors, sitting close to live client relationships and the helping drive the business forwards. There's a support and coordination element — but the firm wants someone who is sales focused treats it as a launchpad. The right person already understands the industry, and wants to start contributing to the sales effort from day one.
What you'll be doing:
- Working directly alongside the Sales Directors, supporting and learning the full sales cycle
- Preparing the materials that win and retain mandates — presentations, client documents, profiles and business plans
- Coordinating client meetings end to end, and attending them where appropriate to build your own client exposure
- Keeping the CRM (Salesforce) accurate and current so the team can sell from clean, reliable data
- Producing monthly and quarterly client reporting, and running reports across internal and external systems
- Handling ad-hoc client queries and building strong relationships across the firm
- Getting close to the firm's products, fund managers' views and market positioning — and turning that into commercial confidence
The role requires:
- Prior experience within fund management / asset management — this is essential
- Commercial drive and a real appetite for a career in sales
- Genuine interest in financial markets and an awareness of what's moving them
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and time-management skills
- Sharp attention to detail
- Willingness to study towards the Investment Management Certificate (IMC)
- Confident, proactive and solutions-focused
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
What's on offer:
A clear path into sales — mentoring, leadership development programmes, structured training, continuing education and full support towards your IMC. Hybrid working. An inclusive, supportive culture where ambition is rewarded.
If the opportunity excites you, we'd like to hear from you.
