United Utilities delivers essential water services to homes and businesses across the Northwest and are looking for analytical and proactive people to join their team as a Scheduling Analyst.

About The Roles

As a Scheduling Analyst, you will be responsible for planning and managing daily activities for field teams, ensuring work is prioritised and scheduled in line with business rules. You will coordinate sampling programmes, respond to urgent requests such as incidents and mains repairs, and optimise resource allocation using SAP and Click Schedule. The role involves real-time schedule adjustments, collaboration with operational teams, and analysing performance data to improve efficiency and support service delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and schedule daily field team activities, including urgent requests such as customer complaints, mains repairs, and incident responses.
  • Manage and optimise field team schedules using SAP and Click Schedule to ensure efficient resource utilisation and timely delivery of work.
  • Coordinate with sampling and analytical teams to deliver a compliant and effective sampling programme.
  • Adjust schedules in real-time to respond to unexpected changes like emergencies, absences, or operational priorities.
  • Collaborate with operational managers and team leaders to align workforce allocation with business needs and service levels.
  • Analyse scheduling and performance data to identify improvements, enhance efficiency, and reduce operational costs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organisational and planning skills to manage both long-term schedules and reactive changes effectively.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and workforce management systems, particularly SAP and Click Schedule.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work across multidisciplinary teams and coordinate field operations.
  • Analytical mindset for interpreting performance data and optimising resource utilisation.
  • High adaptability and problem-solving skills to respond quickly to changing priorities and unexpected operational challenges.

What You Need to Know

  • Hourly Rate- £ 18.08, PAYE, paid weekly one week in arrears
  • Location: Lingley Mere Business Park, Great Sankey, Warrington, WA5 3LP- (on site full-time)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Assignment type: 12 Months Temporary Contract through Reed Talent Solutions, as United Utilities trusted recruitment partner.
