School-Based Psychologist
Location: North & East London
Salary: £100 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate / September 2026
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience working with children in a school environment?
We are currently recruiting School-Based Psychologists to support pupils across a range of primary schools in North and East London. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to build experience within education, child development, mental health, SEND support, Educational Psychology or related fields.
The role involves working closely with pupils who may require additional academic, behavioural, emotional or social support, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Assisting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties and SEMH needs
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Delivering targeted interventions and wellbeing support
• Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to support strategies
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
Requirements:
• Psychology degree or a related qualification
• Experience working with children or young people
• SEN experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach
• Passionate about supporting children's development and wellbeing
This role is particularly suited to aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Child Psychologists, Therapists, Teachers and Mental Health Practitioners seeking valuable school-based experience.
