Academics are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected independent secondary school in St. Albans, seeking a talented and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator or a passionate NQT looking to make a difference in a supportive and inspiring environment.
The Role
We are looking for a Science Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 teaching for the right candidate. You will inspire students with your knowledge and enthusiasm, helping them to achieve their potential and instilling a love for science.
This is a Permanent contract commencing September 2026. You will be joining a vibrant school community in St. Albans that is committed to academic excellence and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Science curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
- Ensure your teaching meets the highest standards of Education and training.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialist in Science.
- Proven experience or passion for teaching Science at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding.
- A willingness to contribute to ongoing professional development and training within the school.
