We are seeking a passionate and organised Art Technician to join a vibrant and supportive school in Alton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a creative environment and supporting students and staff in bringing artistic ideas to life.
About the Role
As an Art Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the Art Department by ensuring lessons run smoothly and resources are prepared to a high standard. You will work closely with teaching staff to help deliver engaging, practical lessons across a range of artistic disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for art lessons
- Maintaining and organising the art studio and storage spaces
- Supporting teachers during practical sessions
- Ensuring a safe and clean working environment, including adherence to health and safety regulations
- Assisting with displays of student artwork throughout the school
- Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when needed
About You
- An interest in art and creative processes
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a flexible approach
- Previous experience in a similar role or an educational/art setting is desirable but not essential
