We are seeking a passionate and organised Art Technician to join a vibrant and supportive school in Alton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a creative environment and supporting students and staff in bringing artistic ideas to life.

About the Role

As an Art Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the Art Department by ensuring lessons run smoothly and resources are prepared to a high standard. You will work closely with teaching staff to help deliver engaging, practical lessons across a range of artistic disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for art lessons
  • Maintaining and organising the art studio and storage spaces
  • Supporting teachers during practical sessions
  • Ensuring a safe and clean working environment, including adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Assisting with displays of student artwork throughout the school
  • Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when needed

About You

  • An interest in art and creative processes
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a flexible approach
  • Previous experience in a similar role or an educational/art setting is desirable but not essential
