 Contract: Full-time / Permanent (or long-term)

A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Reading is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2026.

About the Role

  • Teach Geography across KS3–KS5 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity about the world
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative Humanities faculty
  • Encourage students to develop critical thinking, environmental awareness, and global understanding
  • Participate fully in the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Geography in UK secondary schools
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
