Administrator (Cover & Office Support) – Permanent Role – Secondary School
37 hours per week | Term-time + 2 weeks | Permanent | Start September
Our School is seeking a highly organised and personable Administrator to join their dedicated team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of school life, where no two days are the same.
About the Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school, including organising staff cover and providing vital administrative support. As a first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will deliver excellent customer service while supporting staff, students, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise cover for absent staff and produce a daily cover rota
- Ensure effective and efficient use of supply staff and teachers
- Provide administrative support across a range of school functions
- Act as a welcoming first point of contact, both face-to-face and via telephone
- Support the wider office team as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous administrative or secretarial experience
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Word (mail merge), Excel, and PowerPoint
- A friendly, approachable manner and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
