Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / SEN Teaching Assistant – Lambeth
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / SEN Teaching Assistant to join supportive schools in Lambeth We welcome applicants with experience in Primary or Secondary education, as well as candidates with transferable skills and a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
- Support pupils with needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement support plans
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support behaviour management and student wellbeing
- Encourage confidence, independence, and progress
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children or young people in Primary or Secondary settings
- Has SEN experience or a strong interest in supporting additional needs
- Is patient, resilient, caring, and adaptable
Desirable experience:
- LSA, Teaching Assistant, SEN support, mentoring, youth work, coaching, or care experience
- Understanding of EHCPs and SEN strategies
- Experience supporting ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or behavioural needs
- Safeguarding or SEN-related training
