SEN Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Administrative Assistant to join a School in Liverpool, based in the SEN Department. This role is crucial in supporting the SENCO with the strategic implementation of SEN policies and practices. While this position primarily focuses on administrative duties, there may be opportunities to work directly with students.
Responsibilities:
- Support the SENCO in developing and implementing SEN policies and teaching methods.
- Liaise with parents/carers and other stakeholders to facilitate support for pupils with SEND.
- Manage resources efficiently to meet school objectives and ensure value for money.
- Assist in the implementation of strategies for optimal use of expertise and resources.
- Gather and provide information on new resources and evidence for funding submissions.
- Support the integration and effectiveness of Learning Support staff and volunteers.
- Advise on expectations for student behaviour and achievement in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Contribute to creating a safe educational environment with proper risk assessments.
- Engage actively in the school community, supporting its mission and ethos.
Requirements:
- Experience in administrative roles; previous school admin experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Commitment to supporting the needs of pupils with SEND.
