We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Morecambe. The role will involve working closely with 4 pupils in school who have a complex range of SEND needs. The successful candidate will be required to plan and deliver lessons to this group of children with additional support from another teaching assistant. Time will be given for PPA.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work with a small group of children with complex SEND needs.
- Take on whole class teaching
- Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with the national curriculum; dedicated planning time will be provided.
- Support the development and learning of students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the academic and social development of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant status with HLTA certification.
- Experience in a primary school setting, capable of managing whole class teaching.
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing classroom environments.
