Intervention SEN Tutor Opportunities in Gateshead
is recruiting Intervention SEN Tutors across Gateshead to provide targeted 1:1 support for children and young people with additional needs who are unable to access mainstream education full-time.
Working through local authority and school-funded provision, you will deliver personalised intervention sessions in homes, libraries, and community venues, helping learners make academic progress while building confidence and engagement.
About the Role
You will support pupils who may:
- Have SEN or SEND needs
- Hold an EHCP
- Have Autism (ASC) or ADHD
- Experience SEMH challenges
- Struggle with school attendance or school avoidance
- Require alternative provision support
Intervention sessions may focus on:
- GCSE Maths & English
- Functional Skills
- Literacy and numeracy catch-up
- Confidence-building
- Engagement with learning
- Personalised SEN support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
