SEN Secondary Teacher – Make a Real Difference

Location: Ashford, Kent
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: September (or sooner by agreement)

Are you a passionate and resilient teacher ready to transform lives? We’re recruiting for a dynamic SEN Secondary Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive specialist setting in Ashford.

This is not your average teaching role. It’s an opportunity to work with incredible young people who need consistency, creativity, and someone who genuinely believes in their potential.

The Role

You’ll be teaching small classes of secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH and complex learning differences. Every day will be varied, meaningful, and rewarding.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled team of support staff and therapists
  • Play a key role in helping students develop both academically and personally

? What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEN, SEMH, or in a specialist setting (desirable, not essential)
  • A calm, patient and adaptable approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
