About the Role
This is a really exciting opportunity for the right SEN Teacher to help shape the provision and develop it into a thriving, vibrant environment. You will be joining a new ARP unit that is in its early stages, giving you the chance to make a real impact from the ground up. The role involves working with children with additional needs within a specialist resource provision, supported by the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons to meet the diverse needs of children within the ARP
- Create a nurturing and structured environment that supports pupils with additional needs
- Help shape and develop the provision as it grows, contributing to its long-term vision
- Assess, track and support pupil progress in line with EHCP outcomes
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure each child reaches their potential
- Collaborate with the mainstream school to promote inclusion where appropriate
The School Is Looking For Someone Who
- Is an experienced SEN Teacher with a strong understanding of additional needs or has experience teaching in an ARP or SEN setting
- Is passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs
- Has strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Is proactive, adaptable, and excited by the challenge of building a new provision
- Works well as part of a team and is committed to making a lasting impact
