An Ofsted graded Outstanding SEN School in Kensington & Chelsea is looking for a SEN Teacher who has a drive and passion for supporting pupils with Autism. The school caters to pupils mainly with an Autism (ASD/C) diagnosis, aged between 5 to 19. This SEN school has an exceptionally dedicated team, with a fantastically resourced and purpose-built building.
SEN Teachers are valued at this school, and the Senior Leadership team are committed to enabling their teachers having a healthy work-life balance, with flexible PPA time and working from home for PPA if preferred. There is a strong coaching model across the school from more experienced teachers and plenty of CPD and progression opportunities.
Ideally you will be a qualified primary teacher with UK QTS, who is looking to further support students with Autism. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, employed directly via the school on a permanent school-based contract (no supply).
JOB DESCRIPTION – SEN Teacher
- September 2026 – Permanent Contract – Full Time
- MPS1 – MPS6 Inner London + SEN Point 1 (£2,679)
- Located in the London Borough of Kensington & Chelsea
- Support students with Autism within a SEN School
- Run small groups and interventions of 2-3 children at the same time
- 40+ children with an ASD diagnosis
PERSON SPECIFICATION – SEN Teacher
- UK Qualified Teacher Status is a MUST!
- A Primary Teacher with strong SEN & Autism experience is essential
- You must be able to work effectively as part of a large team
- Must be graded 'Good or Outstanding' in lesson observations
- Have previous experience working within an inclusive team
- Have experience teaching in an Autism specific environment or working with pupils with Autism
- Be committed to an integrated, therapeutic approach to teaching SEN pupils
