We are currently working with a specialist school in Bletchley to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher for a permanent position starting in September.
This opportunity would suit either an experienced SEN Teacher or a Primary-trained Teacher looking to transition into specialist education. The school supports pupils with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), communication needs and associated behavioural challenges.
Working within a highly supportive environment, you will deliver engaging, personalised learning programmes designed to help every learner reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and external professionals
- Monitor progress against EHCP outcomes and personalised targets
- Support pupils' communication, independence and emotional development
- Build strong relationships with families and key stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Primary, SEND or specialist settings
- Understanding of autism and complex learning needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A patient, creative and flexible approach
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs
