Job Title: SEN Teacher Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Contract: Full-time / Part-time (Permanent or Long-Term) Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) + SEN Allowance Start Date: ASAP / September 2026 The Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive school in Huddersfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a meaningful difference to the lives of pupils with additional needs. You will be working with pupils across EYFS, KS1, KS2, or Secondary (depending on setting), supporting learners with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils individual needs Support students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and parents Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to support development Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching pupils with SEN (school-based or specialist setting) Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills
