About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting passionate and energetic Teaching Assistants to work in Additional Learning Needs (ALN) schools across Carmarthenshire and Swansea.
This is a rewarding opportunity where you’ll support pupils who need extra help to thrive. We’re particularly keen to hear from sports-focused individuals who are happy to get stuck in — whether that's helping with PE, outdoor learning, or engaging students through physical activity
Your Responsibilities
- Support students with additional learning needs in and out of the classroom
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and build strong relationships
- Get involved in sports, fitness activities, and active learning sessions
- Provide tailored support to meet individual student needs

- Patient, resilient, and committed to supporting young people
- Confident working with children with additional needs
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with children or young people (education, coaching, care, etc.)
- Background in sports, coaching, or physical education (highly desirable)
- Relevant qualifications such as:
- Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning
- CACHE qualifications
- Sports coaching badges or similar
No direct ALN experience? No problem – training is available!
Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence & access to a car (highly desirable)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
