SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time – BS15

This welcoming primary school in BS15 is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with children and supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
The school is committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where every pupil feels valued, supported, and encouraged to succeed. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
What you'll be doing:
Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN Supporting children with their learning, communication, confidence, and independence Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons Supporting pupils with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a safe learning environment Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff

You have previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs You are patient, compassionate, and understanding You can build strong relationships with pupils and staff You have a positive and adaptable approach You are passionate about making a difference in children's lives
Experience within an SEN setting is desirable, but we also welcome candidates with transferable experience from care, support work, youth work, or healthcare backgrounds.
