As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs Assist pupils in accessing learning activities and achieving their individual targets Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff Adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual needs Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
Have previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs within a school, childcare, or similar setting Be confident supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be adaptable, proactive, and reliable Be available to work school hours of 8:30am – 3:30pm Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one Ideal For
