Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Location: Kettering Position: Full-Time Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Start Date: September 2026
Here at Aspire People, we are looking for individuals experienced at working with complex SEN needs to support a vibrant and inclusive educational setting dedicated to supporting children with a variety of complex learning difficulties. We are currently seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs) to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidates will be motivated individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children with complex learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities: * Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis in class, helping them to access the curriculum and develop key skills. * Assist in implementing tailored learning programs and strategies to meet the individual needs of students. * Provide emotional and behavioural support, helping students to manage their anxieties and challenges. * Foster a positive and inclusive environment where students feel safe, valued, and able to thrive. * Work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to monitor student progress and contribute to planning and assessments. * Promote independence and self-esteem in students, encouraging them to take an active role in their learning. * Support students with personal care and mobility needs where necessary.
The ideal candidate will have: * Experience working with complex learning difficulties (preferably working with children but not essential). * A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents. * A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the students. * Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential). * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
