Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Huddersfield Salary: GBP95 – GBP110 per day (depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only Start Date: ASAP
About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Huddersfield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Support pupils with personal care needs where required.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Desirable: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
