SEN Teaching Assistant Sheffield Full-Time | Immediate Start Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Sheffield. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs, and learning difficulties. Work 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum and reach their potential. Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour support, and personalised learning activities. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
About You Were looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based experience preferred but not essential). Is patient, resilient, and able to adapt to different learning and behavioural needs. Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team. Is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable learners. Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
