SEND Advisory Teacher
£28,273 to £42,655 per annum
The Role
This is a key role in ensuring the college meets its statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice and the Equality Act in relation to students with disabilities and/or learning difficulties.
The role has a clear focus on the development and delivery of outstanding student experience as well as empowering staff by delivering CPD in relation to inclusion, SEND & the strategies used for Teaching and Learning. You will ensure that high quality support is planned, implemented and reviewed for students with High Needs, an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and SEND. This role has a specific focus on supporting adults and apprentices and the teams that work with them.
What are we looking for?
Suitably qualified, with successful experience of carrying out high-quality assessments for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans. You will have experience of inclusive teaching and learning and advising on effective strategies to support students with learning difficulties, learning disabilities, and complex and physical needs.
