Send Case Officer

We’re working with a Greater London-based Local Authority who are on the lookout for an experienced SEND Officer to join them on a 6 month fixed contract!

The caseload will primarily focus on post-16 age children, so recent SEND experience with this age group is preferred.

In this role you will:

  • Produce high-quality EHCPs within statutory deadlines.
  • Manage a caseload of existing assessments
  • Determine appropriate funding and provision in line with Council policy.
  • Review and update EHCPs through annual reviews and meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with families, schools, and multi-agency professionals.
  • This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a preference for 2-3 days a week on site.

What you will need to bring:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a Local Authority as a SEND officer
  • Recent experience with secondary and post 16 age people is ideal
  • Secure working knowledge of the current SEND legislation
  • Engaged with the current White Paper on SEND
