Class Teacher – SEND Provision (KS1–KS4)

Location: Croydon
Salary: Outer London Pay Scale SEN Allowance
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Our agency is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEND provision in Croydon for a dedicated Class Teacher to work with pupils across KS1–KS4. This role involves teaching children and young people with a range of needs, including SEMH and challenging behaviours, within a supportive and specialist setting.

Key Duties

Core Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils across the primary and secondary age range.
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
  • Create a positive learning environment that supports pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

Additional Duties

  • Provide pastoral support and act as Key Stage lead for a designated group of pupils.
  • Lead and develop a curriculum subject area across the school.
  • Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and external agencies to support positive outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews, safeguarding and wider school improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with SEND, SEMH and/or challenging behaviours.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and achieving the best outcomes for every pupil.
