SEND Class Teacher – Primary Complex Needs
Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference? A highly respected special school in Birmingham is seeking an outstanding SEND Class Teacher to teach a class of primary-aged pupils with complex needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive school that is committed to providing exceptional educational experiences for children with a range of complex learning difficulties, communication needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and physical disabilities. As a SEND Class Teacher, you will lead a small class of primary pupils, delivering highly personalised learning programmes that focus on communication, engagement, independence and academic progress. You will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.

The Role:

  • Teaching a small class of primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs
  • Planning and delivering highly differentiated and engaging lessons
  • Supporting communication, independence and personal development
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist professionals
  • Contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning programmes
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Building strong relationships with families and external agencies

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching children with SEND or complex needs
  • A strong understanding of Autism, communication needs and personalised learning
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • A patient, creative and nurturing approach
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs succeed
